Optimal humidity for a healthy and comfortable working environment
At Van Raam bicycles in Varsseveld there were many complaints about the air being too dry in the assembly department, in the factory and in the offices.
The question was to get the relative humidity in the factory and offices to 45% relative humidity.
What were the requirements:
- The system must fit within the existing climate system
- Energy efficient
- Reliable
- Legionella safe
- Maintenance once a year
The solution
In this situation, direct humidification in the space in the offices was also considered. We then advised to realize this directly in the duct to the offices. This way, there is no cold air in the office spaces and the humidification is not visible, but there is an ideal relative humidity.
We have applied three disciplines:
- Ultrasonic humidification in duct for the offices
- High pressure misting in the factory and assembly department
- High pressure fogging in two offices in the factory
The result
The employees on the work floor are very happy with the humidification and no longer experience complaints due to too dry air. The humidity in the offices is now also at the right level.

- FinestFog high pressure installation
- High pressure control box
- FinestFog reverse osmosis system with monitored UV lamp
