Untreated water is not pure H₂O. Every liter of water used for humidification contains solids such as microorganisms, lime and salts. Without proper water treatment, these substances can lead to contamination, blockages and an unsafe indoor climate.

- Prevents Bacterial Growth – Microorganisms such as bacteria can build up in humidification systems and negatively affect air quality. Reverse osmosis units with fine mesh membranes effectively filter these contaminants.
